Man sentenced to over four years in jail for Somerset burglaries

A man has been sentenced to four-and-a-half years in jail after being convicted of two burglaries in Somerset.

John Bale, 53 of no fixed address, was convicted at Taunton Crown Court today (Friday) of a burglary in Bridgwater in March in which jewellery was stolen from an elderly victim.

Bale, also known as Froggy, was also convicted of a burglary in Street in March.

He was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison for each offence to be served concurrently.
