Woman released from rear of vehicle following collision in West Bagborough

Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service were called to reports of a road traffic collision with persons still within the vehicle in West Bagborough at 11:20 this morning.

One fire appliance from Williton and one fire appliance from Taunton along with the Rescue Tender were mobilised to this incident.

Upon arrival crews confirmed this to be a two vehicle road traffic collision with one adult still trapped within one of the vehicles. Crews set to work to stabilise the vehicle and removed the tailgate and the rear interior of the vehicle to release the casualty.

One female casualty was released from the rear of the vehicle on a spine board and transported to hospital via ambulance.
