Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses to a dog biting a young girl which was reported at Saturday lunchtime in the children’s play area at Rowan Drive.
The five year old was on the zip wire seat when a Staffordshire Bull Terrier jumped up and bit her stomach and wrist.
It caused a minor wound and the dog ran back to its owner when called.
The owner, described as a 30 year old white man, about 5ft 8 with a bald head with very bad eczema on his arms then walked off without any concern for the child.
The dog is brown with black stripes and was wearing a red collar. It wasn’t seen to have been muzzled or on a lead at any point.
