A man and woman whose bodies were found at a house in Chard have been now been formally identified.
The bodies of 42 year old Tracey Baker and 35 year old Kevin Baker were found at their home in Wellings Close on Sunday morning.
They were a married couple.
Post-mortem examinations have been carried out by a Home Office pathologist to determine the cause of death.
The examinations concluded that Tracey Baker died from multiple head injuries, and Kevin Baker died from self-strangulation by ligature.
Senior Investigation Officer Andy Mott:
“Our thoughts are very much with the families affected by this tragic incident and they’re continuing to be supported by specially trained family liaison officers.
“Although we’re not looking for anyone else in connection with these deaths, our enquiries will continue to develop a full understanding of what happened and a file will be supplied to the Coroner’s office.”
