Four walking wounded and one person trapped following collision on A39 near Cannington

The Fire Service were called to a report of an road traffic collision on the A39 near Cannington at 17:41 today.

One fire appliance from Nether Stowey, one fire appliance from Bridgwater and a rescue tender from Taunton were mobilised to this incident.

On arrival crews confirmed that this was a two vehicle road traffic collision with one person trapped and got to work liaising with Paramedics and setting up road rescue equipment.

There were five persons involved in the collision, four walking wounded and one person still trapped within the vehicle.

Crews used clan lukas and dedicated cutters and carried out a full roof removal. One person extricated from vehicle and left in the hands of the Ambulance Service.
