Three fire engines tackle ‘deliberate’ caravan fire in Trull

One fire appliance was initially sent to reports of a fire at Dipford, Trull, Taunton at 01:58 this morning (Thursday) which was then followed by a second due to the number of calls.

Both appliances were mobilised from Taunton.

On arrival, crews confirmed what appeared to be a caravan well alight, and got to work with two hose reel jets. Crews also began using a compressed air foam jet on the fire.

Crews requested a third appliance from Taunton, for water. After further investigation, it was found that this was a large pile of reclaimation items involved in fire.

Crews put the fire out, and confirmed the cause as deliberate.
