Fire crews from Wiveliscombe were mobilised to Fitzhead near Taunton at 14:22 this afternoon (Saturday) following a call reporting flood water entering a property.
Crews confirmed that a large amount of water was entering the house and requested sandbags from the local council be obtained.
They then set to work attempting to prevent further water entering the property using a mini ejector pump to divert the water away.
At 15:56, crews made good progress and prevented water entering the property. They reassessed the situation and liaised with the homeowners.
At 16:16, crews continued to prevent flood water entering the property. The incident was then left in the hands of the local authority to attend with sandbags.
