CCTV released following sexual assault on female in Goodland Gardens

Avon and Somerset Police have released a CCTV image of a male they believe could help them with their enquiries after a female was assaulted as she walked through Goodland Gardens.

The incident occurred around 17:15 on Tuesday 22 December, where a lone female was walking through Goodland Gardens in Taunton, when an unknown male has grabbed her backside before walking away towards Castle Green.

The victim has shouted out to two members of the public – described as a tall white male, of slim build, with short, dark hair (receding hairline), aged in his mid 30’s and possibly an office worker.

The second witness is described as being of Chinese origin, of short and slim build, wearing a hood but with possibly short hair, aged early 20’s, wearing a jacket over smart, casual clothes.

The male seen in the CCTV image is described as a white male, aged 20-30 years of age, around 5ft 7, of stocky build/overweight, with a double chin and round face, wearing a woollen hat that covered his ears, a dark anorak, light coloured trousers which appeared too big for him, trainers and carrying a day sack.
