Officers are investigating following numerous calls reporting cars and vans being damaged in Bridgwater.
Vehicles parked in Ashgrove Way, Eldergrove Close and Oakgrove Way have had their tyres slashed at some time between 9pm on Thursday 17 March and 6am on Friday 18 March.
PCSO 8791 Daniella Castagna said:
“Almost all the cars in these roads have had all four tyres slashed.
We have delivered letters door-to-door in the Bower estate area asking anyone affected to get in touch, if they haven’t already, so that we have a clear picture of these offences.
We’re obviously appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward.
We’re checking CCTV in the area but if anyone does have private CCTV I’d ask them to contact us.”
Anyone with any information can get in touch with police through their online form, www.avonandsomerset.police.uk/contact-us or by calling 101 and quoting reference 5216058470.
Alternatively you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or through their website www.crimestoppers-uk.org. They never ask your name or trace your call.
PCSO Castagna added:
“We’re taking this incident very seriously – it has affected a large number of people who have been prevented from going about their daily business.”
