Two fire appliances from Bridgwater and the Rescue Tender from Taunton were mobilised to a report of a road traffic collision on the M5 between Junctions 24 and 25 at 16:09 this afternoon (Thursday).
On arrival crews confirmed all persons were free and clear of the vehicles and crews made the scene safe.
Police reported debris on the road and fuel spillage on the M5 Northbound and that lane three (of three) had closed.
They also reported that the central reservation had been damaged in the accident.
17:13 – All lanes open again Northbound between J25 and J24.
Two lanes remain closed Southbound with long delays.
18:21 – The M5 Southbound is now fully open as clear up and recovery has finished.
Long delays remain from J23.
