‘Jenny’s Angels’ wing walking in memory of avid fundraiser who died before she had a chance

Family and friends of a woman who planned to do a wing walk herself in aid of St. Margaret’s but sadly passed away before she had a chance are to take part in her memory.

John Winter and friends are taking part in the wing walk in memory of his wife Jenny who became an avid fundraiser after being diagnosed with cancer.

Jenny Winter took part in numerous activities to raise money for charity and in 2015 she was cared for in St. Margaret’s Inpatient Unit in Taunton.

While in the hospice, Jenny began to plan various fundraising activities in aid of St. Margaret’s to give thanks to the excellent standard of care she was receiving.

On top of Jenny’s list was a wing walk. Sadly, Jenny passed away in the hospice in September 2015 while she was still in the planning stages.

Her husband John is now doing what Jenny was unable to do and will be taking part in a wing walk with friends, including staff from St. Margaret’s, on 25 May 2016.

‘Jenny’s Angels’ are hoping to raise £11,600 which will pay for a day of care in both our Taunton and Yeovil Inpatient Units.

You can show your support and sponsor ‘Jenny’s Angels’ by visiting their fundraising page at campaign.justgiving.com/charity/stmargaretshospice/jennys-angels

Any amount you can give will help St. Margaret’s continue to make each day count for patients and their families facing a life-limiting illness across Somerset.
