After huge demand, tickets to see Status Quo perform as part of Somerset Rocks in Taunton have now sold out.
With three months to go until Somerset Rocks takes place in Vivary Park, organisers are thrilled with the response for tickets to see each of the three shows.
To avoid disappointment, event organisers are encouraging fans to book tickets to see Will Young and Jools Holland now, so they don’t miss out.
Somerset Rocks is a three-evening music event being held at Taunton’s Vivary Park to raise funds and awareness for St. Margaret’s Hospice.
It takes place during the August bank holiday weekend and features Status Quo (Friday 26 August); Will Young (Saturday 27 August); and Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra with support from Red Sky July (Sunday 28 August).
Claire Kidger, Director of LCC Live, said:
“Somerset Rocks is well and truly rocking! We’re thrilled with the demand for tickets to each of the three shows, and for Status Quo to be sold out, three months ahead of the event, is really encouraging.
Thank you so much to everyone who is supporting the event, which is to help raise funds and awareness for St. Margaret’s Hospice. The response has been outstanding and we would encourage anyone thinking about coming along to see Will Young and Jools Holland to book their tickets now, to avoid disappointment, as tickets are selling really strongly for both shows.
Somerset Rocks is shaping up to be a superb three-evening live music event, which offers a family-fun, festival type atmosphere. We hope to see you there.”
Ann Lee, Chief Executive of St. Margaret’s Hospice, said:
“Tickets to Somerset Rocks are selling well beyond our expectations. We’re truly delighted by the response from the public, both in terms of their support for the event and also in helping us raise awareness of the work we do across the county.
Somerset Rocks will be huge for the local community, and is something that we are extremely excited and proud to be part of. We’re aiming to raise some much needed funds to ensure the longevity of the vital care that we deliver, so thank you to everyone who has bought a ticket so far.”
