Investigation underway after static home ‘completely destroyed’ by fire at Henlade

Fire appliances from Taunton were mobilised to a property fire  at Ivy House Park, Ilminster Road, Henlade, Taunton at 21:19 last night (Sunday).

On arrival, crews confirmed one Static home well alight crews got to work to extinguish the fire using four Breathing Apparatus, two Hose Reel Jets, one Main Jet and Small Tools.

At 21:46 Crews requested the attendance of an additional fire appliance, a 4th appliance from Bridgwater was mobilised.

At 21:56 Crews put in a further request for another fire appliance and a Water Carrier to be mobilised.

23:49 Fire crews at work with six Breathing Apparatus, one Compressed Air Foam, three Jets and two Hose Reel Jets and a Thermal Imaging Camera cutting away to expose any hot spots.

The fire is now extinguished and has completely destroyed the static home.

The cause is still under investigation.
