A yellow weather warning of wind has been issued by the Met Office for today (Thursday).
The Met Office said:
“A brief spell of very strong winds is expected as a line of heavy rain moves eastwards over the UK during Thursday afternoon. Whilst most places will miss the worst a few spots may see gusts in excess of 70 mph.
Please be aware of a very low likelihood of disruption, primarily to travel, from falling trees and debris.”
The affected areas are likely to be Gloucestershire, Bath and North East Somerset, Bournemouth, Bristol, Dorset, North Somerset, Poole, Somerset, South Gloucestershire, Swindon, Wiltshire, Devon and Torbay.
The weather warning is valid from 12:10 to 17:00 today (Thursday 17 November).
