Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for witnesses after a 40-year-old woman was assaulted by a man in Taunton.
The incident took place in the car park on Castle Street behind Lidl between 16:30 and 17:00 last Tuesday (11 July).
As a result of Avon and Somerset Police’s enquiries, a 43-year-old man was charged with causing actual bodily harm and is due to stand trial next month.
Detective Sergent Amanda Frame said:
“This incident took place in a public place at a time when we are sure there would have been members of the public around.
We need to hear from anyone who may have witnessed this incident and could help us with our investigation.”
