Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for the public’s help in their investigation into the murder of Heather Jordan in Taunton at the weekend.
She was found in Lyngford Park on Sunday morning.
The police investigation is now focusing on the area between Priorswood Primary School and Taunton railway station, where it is believed, items police need to trace may have been discarded by the suspect.
Specialist teams are searching the area but police are also appealing to members of the public to search sheds, garages, outbuildings any and bins outside their homes.
Police are keen to trace a ZTE mobile phone, a brown and yellow coloured purse and clothing which may have been discarded. The clothing could be concealed in a bag.
If you have seen or spot the items, do not touch them but call 101 immediately and ask to speak to the Major Crime Investigation Team.
Police have extra neighbourhood officers patrolling in the area to provide reassurance and receive information. You can raise any concerns you may have with the officers.
