Police appeal following series of indecent exposures in Taunton

Avon and Somerset Police are appealing for information following a series of indecent exposures in Taunton.

Police have had three reports in the past two months of a man exposing himself to girls walking along a pathway in the Severn Drive area of Blackbrook.

The most recent report was from Saturday 7 April when two teenage girls were walking along the small footpath behind the Tesco Express store towards Blackbrook Primary School at about 21:30 when the man exposed himself.

He was described as being white, aged in his 20s, skinny build, 5ft 11ins tall, with short brown hair, possibly facial stubble, wearing a blue short-sleeved top and blue jeans.

Taunton urban and rural team sergeant, Dan Bishop, said:

“I’d like to reassure the local community we are doing all we can to trace this man and deal with him.

We have carried out extra high-visibility patrols in and around the area and are continuing to do so.

We’re also carrying out extensive enquiries as part of our investigation.

I would urge anyone who might recognise the description of the man or has any information at all to call us on 101 and quote reference 5218074087.”
