Following on from the success of last year’s health and wellbeing event this years ‘Promoting Health and Wellbeing Event’ will take place on Wednesday 24 October from 10am – 12.30 pm at Minehead Job Centre. The event is aimed at helping the community of West Somerset focus on – and improve – their personal health and wellbeing.
Organised by Jobcentre Plus, Magna Housing and West Coast 360, the event is free and open to all.
It will provide an excellent opportunity for the local community to meet face-to-face with representatives from a range of community organisations and groups who offer exciting opportunities to develop confidence, self-esteem, health and wellbeing. Specialist support agencies will also be in attendance offering a wealth of advice and support.
Ian Wood, specialist support manager at Magna Housing, said: “We are delighted to be attending the Health and Wellbeing Event. Magna is proud to promote healthy lifestyles and our specialist support team is in place to help people sustain tenancies and to improve their economic wellbeing. We are hoping to engage with our residents who need this support, so that we can make a difference.”
Whether you are looking to develop your confidence, health and wellbeing, find a new hobby or access additional support then this positive event is for you.
