Yellow weather warning for rain issued

Yet another summer weather warning has been issued for our area by the Met Office. This warning is for heavy and persistent rain throughout Friday (16th Aug). The Met Office warn that heavy rain will soon spread eastwards, with gales possible along coasts and over hills. The rain will be persistent through the day but the wind will ease later.

Possible impacts from the rain include Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer, Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer and Flooding of a few homes and businesses is possible.
