December is a very busy time for Rudolph and his reindeer friends. To help Santa and his crew out, he will be flying down from his toy factory at the North Pole by helicopter in order to visit the boys and girls of Weston-super-Mare.
Santa and his elves will be landing at the Helicopter Museum’s heliport to host the Christmas Family Fun Day on Sunday the 8th of December. It is completely free for children to come along and see Santa’s grotto.
As well as being able to see Santa, children can also visit his Winter Wonderland, sit in his famous sleigh and meet some very special seasonal characters like the ‘Beast’ from ‘Beauty & the Beast’.
Also on the day, there will be a Christmas children’s magic show, charity stalls, games, open cockpits and helicopter flights.
Classical singers ‘Lyrica’ will be performing a Christmas concert in the museum at 12:30. There is no doubt that this will get all visitors into the festive mood!
“Depending on the weather, both here and the North Pole; Santa is scheduled to land at 11am. He is really looking forward to greeting all the children from the local area,” said the museum’s marketing assistant, Rob Wood.
The Helicopter Museum is a registered charity and houses the world’s largest collection of helicopters including two aircraft of the Queen’s Royal Flight.
