Man sustains fractured skull after being punched in Taunton


Avon and Somerset Police released the following statement this morning (Wednesday):

“Yesterday, we issued an appeal to identify a man in CCTV images we released as part of an investigation into an assault in Taunton on 3 November.

We subsequently received a number of calls and we now believe we’ve identified the man.”

Avon and Somerset Police have released CCTV images of a man they would like to identify as part of an investigation into an assault in Taunton.

A 32-year-old man sustained a fractured skull after he was attacked on High Street at about 01:30 on Sunday 3 November.

The victim had just left the Cricketer’s pub at the same time as two men before one of them punched him.

He was knocked unconscious by the punch and was then left on the floor by the offender who walked away with the other man.

Anyone who recognises the man or who has information which could help with Avon and Somerset Police’s inquiry is asked to call 101 and provide the call handler with the reference 5219256965.
