Fun is to be had by all at World at War. And that’s an order!

On the 4th and 5th of April, World at War is back and better than ever at the Helicopter Museum. This two-day event will feature over 150 re-enactors who will add colour to the gigantic World War II encampment complete with field hospital and German command centre. This will be accompanied by live firing displays, military vehicles and music of the time. With all this and more; there’s something for everyone at World at War 2020.

This year’s principle partner charity is the Royal Air Force Association. They will be supported by over 15 other military charities like Blesma and the Royal British Legion. World at War will feature stalls for all these charities where you can support their work by purchasing nostalgic items and other collectables.

As with all their special events, the museum will be having an open cockpit day. Visitors can be taken through the controls of a military helicopter by an experienced guide. If you are less of a RAF pilot and more of a British Army soldier, why not test your skills on the sniper rifle range.

“As this is the tenth anniversary World at War event, we are all really excited to mark the occasion by making this year’s event the best one yet” said the museum’s marketing assistant, Rob Wood.

All this year’s participants and activities are guaranteed to create the atmosphere of some of the finest days in military history. So keep calm and attend World at War!

The Helicopter Museum is a registered charity and houses the world’s largest collection of helicopters including two aircraft of the Queen’s Royal Flight.
