Taunton’s Brendon Books has announced its plans to continue trading, albeit behind closed doors, during the upcoming lockdown.

The independent bookshop in Bath Place will be offering a collection service as well as local home delivery and postage within the UK.

From Thursday, the shop will be open for collection from the door from 10:00 – 16:00.

A home delivery service is offered in the TA1 and TA2 areas.

Books can be posted at cost to UK addresses and there is an option to send books as gifts with a message attached.

To order or reserve books, email brendonbooks@gmail.com, call 01823 337742 or visit the website.

Brendon Books is open as usual for browsing with physical distancing restrictions in place as well as collection from 09:15 – 17:30 today (Monday) until Wednesday.

“We realise that there is no substitute for browsing a bookshop” said Brendon Books.

“We value the support our customers have given us during this extraordinary year and we hope to continue to offer as comprehensive a service as possible right through the lockdown period.”
