Somerset Care has launched an art competition inviting people to make their visitor spaces even more welcoming.
The competition, titled ‘A Work of Heart’, will allow the winners to have their artwork displayed on the walls of these spaces.
Somerset Care has worked tirelessly to create these designated visitor suites so residents can continue to welcome loved ones to their residential care home, while remaining compliant with government guidelines during the national lockdown. Therefore this is particularly heartwarming for residents who likely found it difficult not being able to spend time in the presence of their family and friends when the pandemic first hit. To capture this, a Work of Heart will be focused on sharing memories with loved ones.
Considered a brilliant lockdown activity, the competition is open to people of all ages and capabilities. Entries can be submitted via the Somerset Care website: https://somersetcare.co.uk/
A spokesperson for Somerset Care said: “We hope the competition is going to encourage positivity around care homes, and show how Somerset Care is still making positive memories by welcoming people safely to their homes.”
Keep an eye out across Somerset Care’s social media channels and website, to find out more about how to enter.
