Taunton School delivers 5000 meal boxes to staff at Musgrove Park Hospital

Since January, the school have been supplying 300 boxes a week to Musgrove Park Hospital in Taunton to support frontline NHS staff working throughout the pandemic.

The food parcels have been delivered to the Well Being Hub at the county’s largest acute hospital, where they have been available to staff 24 hours a day.

The meal boxes were made possible thanks to the philanthropy of a former student and have been freshly prepared daily by the school’s in-house catering team.

In addition to the first lockdown last spring, a total of 7000 meal boxes have been delivered by the school to the hospital since the pandemic began.

Graeme Barclay, General Manager at Taunton School, says: “I am extremely proud of the contribution our team have made by producing 5000 meal boxes for Musgrove since the beginning of the year. Having delivered them myself, it is very humbling to be able to show a small token of our huge appreciation for the team at Musgrove for the dedication, care and hard work they have shown each and every day during the pandemic.”
