Taunton Brewhouse announces Christmas musical Pinocchio cast

Taunton Brewhouse has announced the cast of their Christmas musical, Pinocchio, which opens on Wednesday 4 December.

This new version features a cast of professional actors and a 16-strong youth ensemble, many of which are local to the area.

The main cast includes Emile Clarke as Papa Blue/Geppetto, Jowan Jacobs as Sid/Pinocchio, Vic Llewellyn as Mule, Sedona Rose as Big Fish and Gabrielle Sheppard as Cricket.

Pinocchio is directed and written by Emma Williams, with music by Thomas Johnson and lyrics by Emma Williams and Vic Llewellyn.

Transforming the stage will be Katie Sykes as Set and Costume Designer, and Jane Lalljee as Lighting Designer.

As part of its commitment to supporting the local community, Taunton Brewhouse is also collaborating with local charity Taunton Foodbank to fund free theatre tickets for families who would otherwise not be able to attend the event. When purchasing tickets, customers can contribute to a Pay It Forward campaign which ensures that every donation goes directly toward providing tickets for those in need.

Vickie Robbins, executive director at Taunton Brewhouse, said:

“We are thrilled to be supporting the valuable work of Taunton Foodbank for a second year.

Last year, our patrons helped us to distribute 100 tickets via the Foodbank, so we’re hoping to match that again this Christmas.

Pinocchio is already shaping up to be a spectacular extravaganza and we can’t wait to share it.”

Taunton Brewhouse is also committed to creating an accessible and inclusive environment for everyone in the local community. To support this, the venue will offer British Sign Language (BSL) interpreted performances on 7 and 12 December, an Audio Described performance on 13 December, and a Relaxed Performance on 27 December.

Pinocchio runs at Taunton Brewhouse from 4 – 29 December and is suitable for all ages.
