The Taunton Carnival takes to the streets at 7pm this Saturday (21st October).
Castle Street will be closed to traffic between Tangier Scout & Guide centre as well as Tangier Way down to the junction with Wood Street from 2pm. This is to allow the entries to assemble and get ready for the evening show. Enfield car park will be closed all day.
The town centre roads will be closed from 6:30pm so the procession route can be cleared of traffic before crowds move in to line the pavements. No vehicles will be allowed to leave Wood Street, Yarde Place, Haydon Road or Victoria Gate onto the route whilst the procession is taking place between 6:30 and 9pm.
The procession route is shown in red below, it also shows the car parks which are free after 6pm.
