A fire crew from Taunton was mobilised to a report of a fire outside a property on Wellesley Street at 05:07 this morning (Friday).
On arrival crews confirmed a mobility scooter was well alight, so set to work using a hose reel jet.
The fire completely destroyed the mobility scooter but also spread to a second mobility scooter and a road scooter.
A nearby property also suffered fire damage to plaster, cladding and an external cupboard.
The police were informed of the incident due to the fire being started deliberately.
