Pizza lovers from Somerset can tuck into homemade pizzas during a themed evening at an award-winning farm shop in Somerset next month (July 2022).
Rumwell Farm Shop will be hosting a pizza night in its Café on Saturday, July 9 from 6pm and attendees will be able to choose from a selection of tasting toppings, including a special Rumwell pizza.
Anne Mitchell, Joint Owner of the farm shop, located on the A38 between Taunton and Wellington, explained: “Our themed evenings are always extremely popular, so this time we have decided to host our first ever pizza night.
“There will be a selection of tasty toppings for people to choose from including a classic homemade cheese and tomato margarita pizza. We’ll also have mushroom, mascarpone and ham, caramelised onion and goat’s cheese and we’ll dip into the American style of topping for those who like a Hawaiian with sweetcorn, ham and pineapple on theirs. There’s also a nod to India with our own invention chicken tikka masala topping – served on naan bread.
“We’ve also a Rumwell special pizza featuring our homemade sausage pieces from our own hand reared farm pork and homemade pesto, plus, a vegan Thai jackfruit pizza with coriander, fresh coconut and red onion. Every pizza will be served with a salad and chips.”
Tickets for the evening are priced at £9.99 each. Desserts can be purchased separately on the night.

Rumwell Farm Shop, which celebrates its 25th anniversary this year, is an independent, family-run, award-winning business owned by the Mitchell family. It was originally a potato store, when David and Anne Mitchell began selling their potatoes and free-range eggs at the gate in 1997.
Due to customer demand, the range of products soon increased, and the farm shop grew into the place it is today. David and Anne’s sons, James and Jack, are now also involved in the business, as well as daughters-in-law Sophie and Donna.
Rumwell Farm Shop has a traditional Butchery counter selling its home-reared and free-range pork and Rumwell Angus beef. There is also The Rumwell Flower Shed on-site, a Delicatessen, Bakery, Jam Kitchen, Food Hall, Wine Cellar and Gift Room.
The Rumwell Café is a large and spacious building. The food prepared in the Café kitchen is sourced from the Farm Shop, the Mitchell family farm, which is just four miles away, and other regional suppliers.
Families are welcome to the Café and there is a menu especially for children. It also serves afternoon teas, Sunday roast lunches and is licensed to sell alcoholic beverages.
