Taunton’s Live in Somerset shows cancelled

Live in Somerset 2020 has been cancelled.

The three-evening live music event at Vivary Park was due to take place in July and include McFly, Heather Small, Lulu and Jessie J.

Event organiser, LCC Live said:

“It is with a heavy heart that LCC Live announce, that due to government guidelines and the current situation in the UK, we have taken the decision to cancel Live in Somerset 2020, and this weekend will now no longer take place.

The health and safety of the fans, artists, staff and community will always be our top priority.”

LCC Live added:

“We are working with our ticketing partners at the moment and they will be in touch very soon to process your refund.

Please only contact them if you have not been contacted by the 30th April, as they are very busy at this time.

We thank our wonderful audiences at LCC Live for your continued support.”

Somerset West and Taunton Council has said it will be offering refunds for all Live in Somerset tickets purchased at the Taunton Visitor Centre as soon as possible.

With the Taunton Visitor Centre currently closed in line with government advice, the council has said it is monitoring the situation carefully and will reopen when it is safe to ensure the health and wellbeing of its customers and staff.

Refunds can only be processed in person at the Taunton Visitor Centre, upon receipt of the Live in Somerset tickets and the original receipt of purchase.

Councillor Marcus Kravis, executive member for economic development, said:

“It is disappointing that another of the most popular weekends on our event calendar has been impacted by the effects of coronavirus.

We will be issuing refunds as soon as it is practical to do so, and ask that you bear with us during these unprecedented times.

Our priority as always is the health and safety of our staff and residents.”
