In April around 150 people were treated to a night of fantastic entertainment when we hosted a charity quiz night in aid of the Somerset flood victims.
This week Steve Kirby, who hosted the quiz, presented Mary Hancock from the Somerset Community Foundation with the cheque for the money that was raised on the night. The money will be used to help with the continuing clean up operation that has been taking place since the region was so badly hit by wet weather.
Spencer Bishop from the Club’s Commercial Department, who helped to organise the event took this opportunity to once again thank all those who helped to raise the money: “To reach a total of over £1000 is amazing. This was made possible by all the Members and fans who came along on the night to support the event. They are the main reason that we reached this total, so a massive thank you must go to them. Steve Kirby also deserves special praise for all the work he put in to hosting the event. I would also like to thank Richard Brice of Somerset County Sports who donated and raffled a signed Craig Kieswetter England shirt for the cause.”
