Taunton Town FC Two Out for Wimborne Clash

The Peacocks look to bounce back from their midweek derby defeat when they travel to Wimborne Town in the Calor League this afternoon (22 March). However Town will not be at full strength for the game, missing Nat Pepperell who is attending a wedding and Ben Carter who is ill. Simon Ingram is also doubtful with a hamstring pull which forced him to come off at Bridgwater. However Rob Norrish returns after serving his two match suspension, with manager Leigh Robinson likely to add an Under 18 player to boost squad numbers. He commented:” It’s a tricky place to go as Wimborne are normally a good home team and play the contours of their pitch really well. Both teams are pretty inconsistent though so it’s all about on the day. This time last week we were talking about rounding off a good week and now we’re talking about making a poor week half decent.” The corresponding fixture at the Viridor Stadium in September ended in a goalless draw and there is still little now to separate the sides in the table with the Dorset club two places and four points above Taunton who have two games in hand.
