Photos have been shared by Taunton Fire Station after a lorry left the M5 between Junctions 25 and 26 this morning (Tuesday).

A spokesperson for Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service said:
“Two fire engines and a heavy rescue vehicle from Taunton and a fire engine from Bridgwater were all sent to a report of a heavy goods lorry that had left the road.
On arrival crews confirmed that this lorry had left the motorway, gone down the embankment and ended up on its side.
The driver of the lorry was trapped inside and released by crews using small tools.
Police, highways and ambulance were also in attendance.”
