The fire service received multiple calls, from 7:46pm Saturday 26th April evening, reporting vehicles on fire at the Park and Ride in Silk Mills, Taunton.
Two fire engines from Taunton were initially mobilised but when the crews got in attendance they requested a further two fire engines for breathing apparatus and water as they reported that four minibuses and one car were well alight within compound, these fire engines attended from Wellington. A water carrier was later requested which also attended from Taunton.

This was a fire involving four minibuses which were 100% damaged by fire and a further three minibuses were 50% damaged by fire. Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire.
The cause of the fire was deliberate.
