Brazz launches a £15 lunch menu to help combat the cost of living

The team behind Brazz at the venerable Castle Hotel in Taunton are doing their bit to aid people in the current ‘Cost of Living’ crisis. Taking inspiration from Tom Kerridge’s menu launch through September, Brazz will offer a fixed price lunch menu at £15 for 2 courses or £20 for 3 courses, available now.

The no-choice set menu will feature classic dishes to warm the heart from Executive Chef Andrew Swann, such as Heritage Carrot Soup with Spiced Croutons, Chicken Terrine with Apricot & Toasted Sourdough, followed by Quantock Venison Cottage Pie or Cumberland Sausage with creamed potatoes & sage crisps. Desserts may include Lemon Posset with Berry Compote or a Steamed Ginger Sponge.

Chef Andrew Swann said to Apple FM, “I love to see a busy & buzzing dining room full of happy diners, & we hope by offering such great value that more people will be able to enjoy lunch out even with things as difficult as they are. Simply prepared dishes but with great local produce is what this menu is all about.”

Castle Hotel General Manager & Director Ronan Hunter adds, “As Tom Kerridge states, with a menu like this, we won’t make any money from it, but we want to be able to offer people on a tighter budget the opportunity to still come out & enjoy a lovely lunch in Brazz. Whilst the current situation with energy prices & rising costs across the board are in many ways more challenging than Covid, it’s a good time to put out a ‘Too good to be true value menu.”
