Highways teams to carry out night resurfacing at key junction

Somerset County Council’s Highways Team is carrying out resurfacing work at an important Taunton junction over five evenings.

The A3065 at the Silk Mils, Mountway Road and Bishop’s Hull Hill Road is in need of urgent repair and the team will be carrying out the work from Monday 26 April to Friday 30 April.

The road will need to be closed for up to five days and access for local residents will be via an alternative route, whilst the work is carried out during each evening, 6.30pm to 11.30 pm.

Additionally, residents within the Mountway Road area will be given access to the bus gate during working hours. Any fixed penalty notices will be cancelled for residents during this period.

The team will ensure disruption is kept to a minimum and a diversion will be place, but  road users are advised to avoid this route if possible.
