New Assistant For Town Boss

The club are pleased to announce the appointment of Mo Hopkins as assistant manager, initially until the end of the season.

Mo (pictured) is a highly experienced coach, having previously worked at Yeovil Town and Bristol Rovers, and had been assistant manager at league rivals Tiverton Town this season until his departure late last week.

Commenting on his new role with the Peacocks, Hopkins said:” Leigh mentioned to me he was looking to have a second voice and sounding board to aid him and the team until the end of the season so I was pleased to be able to assist and delighted to represent Taunton Town. I know the club well plus many of the players, management and staff so it will be a fairly easy transition for me. I’m looking to help galvanise the team for the remaining league fixtures and the semi-final of the Somerset Premier Cup to give every chance for the season to be completed in the right manner, and to make every game a reason for the team and supporters to be proud.”

Manager Leigh Robinson commented:” I’m delighted to welcome Mo to the club; most of the lads know him and he brings a wealth of coaching experience so he will be a valuable addition.”
